The cemetery is reported as located 1 mile east of Hallsville, east of the 1/2 section line of Section 9 and 1/4 mile north of SR 180. No sign of the cemetery was found in 1987. It is possible that the cemetery was actually 1/4 mile south of that point on SR 180, because the only Dawsons in Colerain Township in the 1870 federal census and in all of Ross County in the 1875 atlas were the families of William and Zedekiah Dawson whose homes were at that exact point south of SR 180. However, in1999, the principal members of both families lie buried in Maple Grove Cemetery at Hallsville.
