Located on the farm of Nathaniel Massie Jr. (1763-1813), the founder of Chillicothe, Ohio. The farm was one mile west of Bainbridge on the south side of U.S. 50, immediately west of SR 41. His home still stands on the property where the family burial site was once located.

On June 6, 1870, the remains of Nathaniel and Susan Massie were moved from their farm to Grandview Cemetery in Chillicothe, Ohio, where a new monument was erected. Newspaper accounts do not mention moving the remains of their son, David, and so he must still remain in the family burial site on the farm. The parent's original tombstones are in the possession of the Ross County Historical Society. No stone is known for their son David.
