RCGS is a non-profit organization made possible through membership dues, sales of publications and donations. The library is staffed solely by dedicated, hardworking volunteers. Our library collection includes books and information on 80 of the 88 counties in Ohio and most of the states.
We are proud of our library and encourage you to visit us at 303 S. Paint Street, Chillicothe when you are in the area. Non-members are asked for a $5.00 donation each time they come to research.
Research
If you cannot visit, we do offer look-ups from the holdings in our collection. If you would like this done, we require an advance donation of $20.00 per family, limited to 2 hours. If a third hour or more is required to complete the search, an additional $10.00 per hour will be requested for the search plus cost of copies. If many entries are found, we will advise you of the additional amount necessary to cover excessive copies. We require a "family group sheet" listing the parents and children with the dates and locations which you have on each, so we can identify your family in references.
